Awakening The Land at Hay River FireHaven

Hello, Happy Haveners.

With Earth Day just around the corner, we are ready to Awaken The Land at Hay River FireHaven on Saturday, April 27th.

We will be working on many tasks and definitely need your help.

• Clearing downed trees
• Splitting wood (we have a fun wood splitter to help ease that process!)
• Cleaning up and clearing out the fire circle
• Raking out the fire rings

No task is too grand when we all pitch in!

The plan for the day will be to start at 10 am sharp.  We'll work until noon-ish and stop for a light lunch/snack (in anticipation of our traditional potluck Feast at 4 pm)

Be sure to bring a dish to share, as we'll be feasting before fellowship filled with songs, drumming, and, of course, the traditional fire.  We've got land usage ideas to discuss and shrine planning in the works, so the conversation around the fire should be quite lively (as usual).

Please remember that Sustaining Members commit to participating in two site maintenance days per year, and Parishioner Members commit to one day.

This will be our prep for Beltane, so we hope you can join us.  If you can't make the site maintenance time, join us later in the day for Feast, Fire, and Fellowship.

Things to bring: (this will be repeated in the thank you for registering email)

• Garden tools, saws, pruners, clippers, rakes, shovels, weed clippers
• Gloves
• Lawn chair
• Jackets and/or rain protection
• Snacks and drinks
• A dish to share at Feast
• An offering to the Fire, Shrines, and Altars
• Lastly, and just as important...Ideas for our Beltane Celebration
