About the event
Come celebrate Beltane at Hay River Firehaven. We will have the long traditional May Pole, the HRFH traditional Fire, and, of course, a potluck Feast. So bring your ribbons, flower crowns, drums, and passions and love for the community. Note we have a full day of activities!
Saturday
6am - 9am Trout fishing -purchase weekend inland trout license in advance, bring pole and worms for the opener!
11.00am to 12.30pm Workshop: Purification Lodge: Join in the process of construction and learn the wisdom of the traditional purification lodge. Help place the initial 13 sacred poles, please be sober, clean, safe, and respectful at the lodge. (Main lodge building and first lodge on Sat, May 17th)
12.30 - 1.30 Lunch (Bring your own)
