About the event
On Sunday Feb 8th Judy and I, and our spiritual group host a feast day for the Slavic god , Veles. We are located a brief 50 minutes east of Stillwater, MN in west WI.
Veles is a major deity for the ancient Slavs, He is Lord of the woods, cattle, and the underworld, with many myths associated with him. On his day Veles' is celebrated all across eastern Europe from the Baltic countries in the North, through Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, the Slavic countries of central Europe, and on down to Greece. A feast day celebration may be new to you. We will be providing different foods from these regions all throughout the day to our guests as an honoring of Veles. It is not a potluck, you need not bring anything save maybe something to offer a toast with!
